Gooseberry Chutney

Ingredients:

  • 4 ice cream containers Gooseberries
  • 2kg sugar
  • 10 medium onions
  • 2dsp of Curry powder
  • 6 tsp Plain Salt
  • 2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1ltr Malt Vinegar
  • Thickening
  • 2 – 3 cups of flour
  • Malt Vinegar

Method:

Step 1: Get 4 Ice Cream containers of Frozen Gooseberries.
Step 2: Peel and chop onions.
Step 3: Put all ingredients except for thickening ingredients.
Step 4: Bring to boil and cook until fruit is soft.
Step 5: When fruit is soft mix 2 to 3 cups of flour with malt vinegar add to fruit and then.
Step 6: Blend with stick wiz and bring back to boil.
Step 7: Place jars in oven at 70 degrees. Step 8: Fill jars to top and seal.
